BEK Scholarships Now Accepting Applications

Every great leader starts somewhere, and for many, that start is a classroom. For more than 25 years, BEK has invested in students across our region, helping the next wave of innovators, builders, and community champions take their next step through our scholarship programs.


Are you a BEK Cooperative member or BEK Fiber customer, or the dependent of one? If so, you may qualify for financial help toward college or technical school this year. Take a look at what’s available and find the opportunity that fits you best:

Valley City State University Scholarship

Amount: $1,250 – $2,500 Deadline: February 14, 2027 Eligibility: New or returning students pursuing a technology-related degree

Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Scholarship

Amount: $1,500 – $7,000 Deadline: February 14, 2027 Eligibility: Students from rural communities starting their first year of college or vocational-technical school

Amount: $500 Deadline: March 1, 2027 Eligibility: High school seniors in the Class of 2027 heading into their first year of college
