
BEK’s 73rd Annual Meeting
Looking Ahead with ‘Next Gen Connectivity’

BEK Communications Cooperative hosted its 73rd Annual Meeting on June 12 at Kramer’s Blue Room in Strasburg, ND, an event rich in tradition and forward vision. With this year’s theme, “Next Gen Connectivity,” members gathered to reflect on another successful year.
The meeting was broadcast live across North Dakota on BEK TV and BEK TV+, allowing more members than ever to take part. A warm welcome was extended to the 114 members in attendance as well as those watching from home, a fitting reflection of BEK’s commitment to serving all members, no matter where they are.
Members enjoyed a comprehensive 2024 Year in Review video, followed by the annual Auditor’s Report from Chris Skidmore of Moss Adams. BEK CEO Derrick Bulawa shared updates on the cooperative’s financial strength, infrastructure investments, and expanding services that keep members connected to what matters most.
Board Elections
This year’s meeting also included board elections in three districts. Members voted to re-elect:
- Shane Morris of Regan – District I
- Holly Will of Hazelton – District III
- Bill Becker of Wishek – District IV
Following the general meeting, the Board of Directors held its reorganization session. The board unanimously re-elected Brett Stroh as President, Kevin Bernhardt as Vice President, and Bill Becker as Secretary/Treasurer.
With the theme of “Next Gen Connectivity” guiding the day, the annual meeting reinforced BEK’s dedication to delivering reliable, future-focused services while staying grounded in cooperative values.
